The Town of Alex was awarded $75,000 from ASCOG, Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments, Reap Grant, and $68,000 from DEQ/ORWA, Department of Environmental Quality and Oklahoma Rural Water Association, Rig Program for the cost of the lift Station repairs, pump and electric upgrades, new computers, and new utility billing software.

As of February 17th, all Projects associated with those two grants for 2026 have been completed.

The Water Department is scheduled to continue the Water Valve Project on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026. This Project has been funded by the ASCOG Reap Program for the year 2025. With the completion of this valve this project will be 50% complete.

Alex City Hall will be closed on Thursday March 19th, due to electrical repairs needed in the building.
